I designed and created concepts and generated ideas for levels and NPCs across the Days universe. Ranging from Characters, props and environments. I worked closely with the AD, producers, product owners and Gameplay Designers. I also wrote NPC copy and provided paint-overs and notes to the 3D Artists.

A living Breathing City

One of my first tasks on Days was to create a strong base for the city which would later be iterated on as new play features unfolded. I developed the Art Direction and an overarching player story, breaking down what a living breathing city should feel like at it’s core and briefed this to the wider team.

I was tasked with designing the Core NPCs, the Club Leaders. The player would interact with these characters on a daily basis to complete tasks and learn about the world so I wanted to create a group of inclusive, fun and aspirational characters that any player could see themselves within

Housing Feature

Working with a team of programmers & Game Designers, I researched and designed how the housing feature could look and function, creating a user story that encapsulates the fun, cosy and unique spirit of Toca Boca.

Akorn Homes

In addition to the housing feature design, I was tasked with creating the in game branding for the housing feature from scratch, this included the mascot, logo, uniform, player tools, NPCs and copy. The concept I created was simple but fun; from the small grows the mighty, just like an acorn.
